What is the role we are looking for?

Body Shop Prepper:

CarShop is seeking a skilled Body Shop Prepper to refinish external body panels and components of all vehicles with cosmetic damage.

What will you do?

• The Painter/Prepper is responsible for refinishing all vehicles that are for sale according to the agreed procedures of the Reconditioning Service Department.
• He/She is to plan, organize, schedule and execute refinishing work in order to prevent bottlenecks in the reconditioning process.
• The successful candidate will keep all equipment and tools in good working order and required supplies in stock.
• The Painter also alerts the Reconditioning Service Coordinator when problems are discovered which might prevent sold vehicles from being delivered properly.

• The successful candidate demonstrates the ability to establish priorities within his/her area of responsibility and problem solve in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• He/She has experience in automotive refinishing work with references concerning the quality of work.
• The Painter/Prepper is a team player and an effective communicator.
• The successful candidate will exemplify integrity, strive for self-improvement, and have an open-minded, “can-do” attitude.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug testing, and hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving history.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
