Body Shop Estimator

Job Summary
Reliable Chevrolet Springfield is seeking a full-time Body Shop Estimator to join their team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing accurate estimates on body work needed to repair cars in the shop. You will work with customers to clearly define and accurately price out services that are required to complete the job.

Responsibilities
• Accurately and efficiently evaluate cars brought into the shop for body damage, including scratches, dent and collision repairs.
• Communicate with customers to accurately and clearly identify repair services that are needed and craft accurate cost estimates based on scope of work.
• Provide specific instructions for parts procurement and repair order definitions.
• Confirm price details with customers.
• Coordinate with shop team members to ensure repair services are completed as necessary.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies, tools, and techniques as they relate to Body shop repair services.
• Ensure that all applicable repairs are done in accordance with safety and industry standards.
Requirements
• High school diploma/GED
• At least 2 years of experience working in a Body shop environment.
• Proficiency in the use of computers for calculating, testing, and entering information.
• Proven record of providing excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of Body shop estimating processes and protocols.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
