BCBA Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess individuals' behavior and develop treatment plans
-Oversee RBT's to ensure Treatment Plans are being followed
-Work with families during parent trainings and group work
- Provide behavioral therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans and monitor progress
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive information
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as special education teachers, to ensure coordinated care
- Complete medical documentation and maintain accurate records
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in diagnostic evaluation and behavioral therapy
- Proficient in data collection and analysis techniques
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Understanding of medical terminology and ability to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals
- Experience working with children, particularly those with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of special education practices and principles
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining medical records and documentation
