LWBS (Laila Way Behavioral Services) is a behavioral health agency servicing the city of Philadelphia. Our services focus on evidence-based practices derived from Applied Behavior Analysis to increase independence in children diagnosed with autism and other behavior disorders. We specialize in verbal behavior techniques and the reduction of challenging behaviors. Laila Way Behavioral Services is looking to expand our clinical team by hiring TWO BCBAs to join our group services program. This person must have a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) for the state of Pennsylvania. This is a clinic-based position.
Billing Requirements weekly: 30 -32 hours
Open Shift 1: Monday, Wednesday, 10 am- 6 pm; T, TH 9 am- 4 pm every other Friday 8:45am-3pm
Open Shift 2: Monday, Wednesday ,9 am- 4 pm; T, TH 10 am- 6 pm every other Friday 8:45am-3pm
Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavior evaluations and assessments of clients with a variety of diagnoses
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on client needs
- Provide behavioral therapy to children with autism to improve social, communication, and adaptive skills
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure treatment goals are met
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Write and monitor behavioral treatment plans for children diagnosed with behavioral and mental health disorders. These disorders include, but are not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD).
- Collaborate with other clinical team members and agencies to address the needs of the client and family.
- Provide assistance in the development of adaptive skills in order for the diagnosed child to take a more positive role in the school, home & community setting.
- Provide prescribed behavioral consultation services including direct and indirect services.
- Provide Clinical Direction and Supervision to Behavior Health Technicians regarding ABA principles in the school, homes, and community setting.
- Write Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and conduct assessments to determine the appropriateness of group services and level of care.
- Must have basic knowledge of function-based treatment, verbal operants of behavior, and functional communication training.
Education/ Experience :
- Master's Degree from an accredited university in a clinical mental health discipline such as Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Psychiatric Nursing, Marriage and Family therapy, Criminal Justice, Special Education, or Applied Behavior Analysis
- Must have a Behavioral Specialist License
- Must have a BCBA License
- Professional Liability Insurance
- Clearances: PA Mandated Reporter, PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal Background, FBI Fingerprint, CPR
