Blow Mold Operators Performs production operation duties to ensure a quality product is produced, packaged, and prepared for delivery to customers in a safe manner.
Responsibilities:
- Load and debag bottles as needed to support production.
- Visually inspect bottles placed on the line for production and remove damaged bottles.
- Bag all bottles not used for production and move to storage as required.
- Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of the product.
- Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
- Assist in performing changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist in preparing equipment for the next run to include size changes as needed,
- Ensure proper code dates and monitor inkjet printers,
- Complete cleaning checklist and assist in performing sanitation of equipment.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Follow all safety and security policies and procedures.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Follow all food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory,
- Customer, and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) requirements.
- Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
- All other duties as assigned by management
- Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data.
- Must be organized and detail-oriented
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as required.
- Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.
- Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.
