Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare samples for analytical assays via tissue homogenization, RNA/DNA isolation, protein isolation
- Perform and develop protocols laboratory assays and techniques including Western blot, ELISA/MSD, reagent labeling, and immunoprecipitation
- Process and analyze and organize data for presentation to responsible scientist(s) and
- Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, and maintain clean, well-functioning laboratory environment.
- Is accountable for safe work environment, confidentiality policies, following protocols, and meeting deadline assigned by scientist in charge.
- Report progress on assigned tasks to the scientist in charge on a daily/weekly or monthly basis for set milestones, goals.
- Meet with scientists to understand needs, adapt and ensure expectations are communicated clearly, concisely as well as timelines to complete.
- Meet regularly with the scientist and manager to discuss progress, upcoming work changes, and any new items
- Perform eLN (electronic lab notebook) entries and corrections in a timely manner while complying with guidelines
- Perform other essential tasks, projects, and responsibilities as required.

- Represents the company in a way to exceed client expectations through a high level of professionalism, reliability, and willingness to get the job done
- Experience with biochemical techniques including but not limited to Western blotting, ELISA, MSD ELISA, cell culture, genomic and protein isolation
- Participate in method development and establishing new parameters for western blots.
- Experience with data analysis and familiarity with data analysis software including Excel, GraphPad Prism, SigmaPlot and/or JMP
- Familiarity with and willingness to work with automation (liquid handlers, automated Western blot systems, tube labelers, etc.)
- Professional, clear and concise communicate required in both written and verbal formats
- Proven Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to quickly learn and understand job-specific software is required
- Ability to understand basic scientific terminology and communicate it to others
- Team-oriented and the ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Be a proven multi-tasker that truly thrives on juggling multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
- Possess strong organizational skills with ability to quickly assess project status and communicate it effectively
- Driven, energetic person able to coordinate activities among different areas of the department
- Degree requirement: Master's of Science in Biology, Cell/Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in highly detail-oriented lab environment
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, and method validation of a variety of molecular techniques is essential
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of above.
Hours Worked: Monday through Friday, forty-hours per week. However, must be flexible to meet the needs of the department and complete other projects as assigned on evenings and weekends.
