Description:
SUMMARY
Join our employee-owned and award-winning company as our BIM Specialist! Under direction of the President, you will be responsible for the production of conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documents for Immel Construction building projects. You will also manage duties of the Building Information Model (BIM) process, and be responsible for the design and development of pre-engineered metal buildings.

EDUCATION
- Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent relevant construction experience required
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an architectural drafter required
- Proficiency in AutoDesk Revit, Butler Advantage, AutoDesk Navisworks, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe design programs required
- General knowledge of building systems, construction techniques, and building codes required
- General knowledge of pre-engineered metal building design, construction, and fabrication required
Responsibilities:

- Collaborates with project managers and estimators, as well as outside architects and owners to meet design needs
- Completes construction documents for sales presentations, cost estimates, and construction projects
- Conducts follow-ups on pricing, ordering and construction for pre-engineered metal buildings
- Performs and coordinates efforts related to collision detection of virtual building models with outside consultants and subcontractors
- Performs marketing simulations and visualization
- Reviews code relating to design and pricing
- Works with outside architects and engineers on multiple phases of plan drawings
- Develops general specifications manuals for design/build projects
- Supports the Project Management Department as needed
- May participate in pre-mid meetings as requested
- Supports Estimating Department on bid day to include bid delivery
- Performs all other duties as assigned
