Day-to-day tasks include, but not limited to the following:
Model Creation and Management:
- Develop and maintain BIM models for specific projects.
- Work closely with design teams to understand project requirements and create detailed 3D models.
- Ensure models are updated and revised as per project changes.
Collaboration and Coordination:
- Collaborate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to integrate various aspects of the building design into the BIM model.
- Attend team meetings to discuss project progress and model coordination.
- Quality Assurance and Standards Compliance:
- Ensure that BIM models comply with industry and company standards.
- Conduct quality assurance checks on models to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Data Management and Documentation:
- Manage and store BIM files and related documentation.
- Generate reports and extracts from the BIM model as required.
Training and Support:
- Provide BIM software training to team members as needed.
- Support project teams in understanding and utilizing BIM models effectively.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly motivated, and meet the requirements below.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Strong understanding of construction processes and terminology.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.5+ years of experience in BIM modeling in a construction or design environment.
- Ability to work in an office environment.
- Additional Skills (Optional):Knowledge of sustainable design practices.
- Experience with project management software.
- Occasionally visit construction sites for model verification and coordination.
- Physical Requirements:
- Experience:
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.
Working/ Environment/ Physical Demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This is a stationary position that requires frequent sitting or standing, repetitive wrist motions, grasping, speaking, listening, close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employees in this position must be physically able to efficiently perform the essential functions of the position.
