Our C&W offices are currently seeking a full-time Billing Specialist to join our team. As a benefit of this position, it will be remote. However, the candidate must be able to go into a C&W office as needed. Responsibilities include matter billing set-up, preparing draft invoices in accordance with the billing cycle, editing and finalizing invoices for submission to clients, utilizing e-mail, e-faxing, regular mail, and electronic submission to ensure client receipt of bills, and tracking invoices through the process until payment is received. The Billing Specialist will also communicate with clients, attorneys, and management regarding past due balances, report and communicate total amount of billings with appropriate parties and assist with guideline compliance. Employee is also expected to complete projects for the billing team and management as needed.
A high school diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree preferred. 1 year prior related experience in legal, medical, or other high volume billing experience required, 2 years preferred. Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred. Microsoft Excel experience required. Basic knowledge of ProLaw, electronic billing websites, or insurance billing preferred. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated independent thinker with exceptional attention to detail, excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communications skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume fast paced work environment.
