Billing Specialist And Front Office Associate

Nystrom and Associates are looking to hire a Billing Specialist & Front Office Associate at their Vantage Point Clinic outpatient mental health clinic. This is a full-time position that will be cross-trained in our billing and reception departments. You will be part of a team of mental health professionals that specialize in psychiatric evaluations, clinical social work, and family therapy. We are committed to helping patients in our community who are experiencing personal, emotional, marriage, family or psychological problems. You will play an important part in that process by actively listening to patients' needs and showing empathy to every patient you speak with.

Hours:

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (with some flexibility if needed)

Pay rate:

$16.00 per hour

Job duties:

Billing:

• Set up of client insurance/payment profiles
• Insurance claim processing
• Follow-up on claim denials and rejections
• Preparing and tracking authorizations for evaluations and therapy
• Tracking overdue accounts and working closely with the billing supervisor as needed
• Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

Reception:

• Greeting clients
• Administering registration packets
• Scheduling appointments
• Assisting clinicians
• Other administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a medical/mental health setting preferred but not required
• Prior experience working with insurance billing preferred but not required
• Enjoy working with the public
• Excellent communication skills
• Detail oriented, able to multi-task and work cooperatively with co-workers in more than one department
