You will be responsible for duties in the day-to-day flow of claims and billing within the Client Business Services department of Tykes & Teens. Process new insurance policies, changes to existing policies, and claims forms. You will perform a variety of specialized, complex activities in the coordination of billing with a strong emphasis on client service, claims processing, operational efficiency, record-keeping, quality of data entry, and maintenance of client service systems.
Experience you will bring:
- Associate degree from an accredited university or college with a major in Finance, Accounting or related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year of billing or claims specialist experience, or related accounting experience and proven experience with processing claims for a mental health or healthcare agency.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of billing principles and procedures related to accounting.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files, designing forms and other office technology.
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences and formats.
- Work independently and have good organizational skills.
- Ability to give full attention to what others are saying and excellent listening skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and engaging with others to convey information.
