This position plays an active role as consultant, advisor, and troubleshooter for all aspects associated with IDD enrollments to ensure accurate billing. The Billing Enrollment Specialist works closely with local operational leadership along with corporate functions to ensure business and operational goals are accomplished timely. This position requires a high school diploma/GED/High School equivalency. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Pay: $40,000
Schedule: Hybrid. Will report to the Atlanta Corporate office 3 days a week, and remote 2 days.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline preferred.
Job Description
- Liaison between the Referral team and local operations to facilitate patient referrals and enrollments.
- Ensures thorough and accurate entry of demographic information in the EHR utilized for claims and billing.
- Regularly audits and reports inconsistencies and missing data that impact billing processes.
- Participates in operational planning meetings for new admissions, transfers, and discharges for IDD services.
- Effectively communicates with steering committee(s) and departmental teams on issues and recommends potential solutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Light - Regularly required to lift 10 lbs. Must be able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. Must be able to pull minimum of 10 lbs. Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stoop. Must be able to regularly use hands to finger handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and consistent with that of an office environment
