The Arc of the Ozarks, is seeking a Billing and Accounts Specialist for our Theracare Clinic located in Springfield, MO. Come help our mission-driven team make a positive impact in the community!
Definition:
Responsible for ensuring the timely and effective reporting and collection of payments via invoicing to both clients and contracted locations. Maintains understanding of client benefits, as well as authorizations to ensure a smooth process of Billing and claims processing. Coordinates with off-site billing agency. Reports to the Operations Director- Clinic and VP of Therapy Services. This is an hourly position.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage client accounts payable and Accounts receivable.
Send statements for all clinic clients.
Invoice all off-site contracts.
Report to the Operations Director- Clinic and VP of Therapy Services with bi-weekly and/or monthly reporting.
Maintain security by following procedures, including HIPAA compliance, and maintaining client and employee compliance with company policies.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely completion of any tasks required for HR and payroll completion.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to travel to the office for training with the potential to work hybrid and/or remote satellite locations as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate well with all parties, both verbally and in written form.
Ability to problem solve and take instructions.
Ability to organize tasks and manage time independently.
Ability to interact appropriately with clients, families, visitors, as well as Arc personnel and vendors and other professionals.
Minimum Experience and Training Qualifications:
Must have at least 1 year of experience working in Payroll, Human Resources, or Accounting, preferably in a medical office setting. Degree in a related field is preferred. Possession of a High School Diploma from an accredited High School.
