Job Summary:
Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) is a leading designer and manufacturer of focal plane arrays and flight-based camera systems supporting a myriad of defense, surveillance, space, and weather tracking applications. RVS is split into two manufacturing operations groups: (1) Focal Plane Operations & (2) Camera & Sensor Packaging. This role is nested within Camera & Sensor Packaging and reports directly to the Production Control Manager. Prospective hires will work on a team of 18 salaried Production Control Analysts all of which sit in one of two administration areas at the local Goleta campus. This position is responsible for releasing factory work orders, kitting and staging material within the factory lab environment, performing routine cycle counts, issuing and controlling inventory of adhesives, fasteners, and other common hardware, and performing materials goods movements between factories. The Shopfloor Material Planning Analyst supports critical kitting activities for the department and serves as an integral communication conduit between the department and the factory floor. This position is targeted towards entry level candidates looking to expand their materials management and production control knowledge base. There is ample room for growth, most staff that hire into this position advance into internal roles of increasing responsibility and scope.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Leverage MRP to determine material requirements.
Analyze supportive sub-assembly material position.
Replenish factory kanban's at point of use (POU) locations.
Kit top level assemblies for main line production.
Request material from the warehouse to kit to next higher assemblies.
Perform material goods movements between labs and factory environments.
Manage inventory of adhesives, frozen materials, fasteners, and other common materials used on the factory floor.
Perform weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc cycle counts for material kept within the factory.
Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly cleaning of storage boxes and racks to mitigate FOD (Foreign Object Degree)
All tasks performed within the cleanroom (factory) environment require the use of personal protective equipment (i.e. bunny suit, booties, gloves, mask, hair covering) to keep skin particles and other human debris from contaminating sensitive space and flight hardware.
Basic Qualifications:
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Typically requires a Bachelor's and a minimum of 0-1 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent Microsoft Excel capabilities.
Excellent oral & written communication skills.
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Prior exposure to SAP or MRP system.
Prior exposure to a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
Degree with emphasis in Supply Chain Management or Business.
Minimum 2.5 GPA

The salary range for this role is 57,000 USD - 107,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
