Job Overview:
- Type: Regular, full-time, 10-month position (September - June) with opportunity to work Fee-For-Service in July & August
- Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8am - 4pm with flexibility
- Location: Fully in person in the Lower East Side
- Pay: $67,000 annualized salary (pro-rated for 10 months)

As a multifaceted not-for-profit, Henry Street provides innovative social services, arts programs and healthcare services from 17 locations throughout the Lower East Side. Building upon its legacy for innovation and effective programming, Henry Street has grown to offer more than 50 different programs, currently making it one of the most comprehensive settlement houses in New York City, as well as one of the City’s largest social service agencies. Henry Street is governed by a 45-member Board of Directors and is supported by government grants and contracts, as well as foundation, corporate and individual support.
Qualifications:
- LMHC/LMSW/LCSW required or MSW/LMHC permit
- Clinical experience with children and families required
- Bilingual — Spanish Required
- Computer proficiency with knowledge of AWARDS a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be organized and able to maintain up-to-date charting according to State regulations
- Knowledge of Play Therapy, Family Therapy, and/or Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy a plus
- Knowledge of DSM V
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group and family services on-site, at school, at the clinic as needed, and via telehealth as needed
- Provide home visits or community visits as needed
- Maintain collateral contact with school personnel
- Provide intensive services for high-risk children
- Provide crisis intervention
- Collaborate with prescriber staff (PNP, MD, RN)
- Complete thorough Mental Health assessments; including psychosocial evaluations, mental status exams, and risk assessments
- Participate in school related events or workshops as needed
- Facilitate Community School related workshops, group work, and presentations
- Commitment to at least 4 days of FFS in summer months for case coverage
- Other related duties as assigned
Physical Job Requirements:
- Ability to work onsite in the Lower East Side
- Ability to walk to multiple sites throughout the work day if needed and walk up and down stairs
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
