Social Worker Lmsw/Lcsw - Bilingual Spanish

The Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center (BSFHC) is a patient-centered, team based multi-specialty practice located in central Brooklyn. BSFHC has been providing affordable, comprehensive, outpatient medical and dental services in an outpatient setting for over 40 years. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), BSFHC serves all of the primary health care needs of families in the heart of North and Central Brooklyn. We have an opportunity for a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or LCSW to provide quality, competent, safe and compassionate care based on established standards in a patient-focused preventative, treatment care and counseling.
A PLUS - Knowledge of the DSM -V, understanding of psychosis, OCD, and Substance Use Disorder Counseling. Recovery oriented and trauma informed. Motivational Interviewing techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Behavioral Activation.
Bilingual Spanish Required
Education/Experience Required:

• LMSW/LCSW
• 2 years experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues.

Other Related Skills/Experience:

• Experience/An understanding of eClinical Works is helpful.
• The ability to demonstrate teamwork and effective interpersonal relations skills is imperative.
• Excellent written/oral communication and computer skills are required.
• Ability to foster and maintain a positive working relationship in a multidisciplinary team and clients
