The role of the Chicas Partnerships Coordinator is to be a creative, hands-on collaborator in our Chicas Youth Development Program (YDP). The Partnerships Coordinator will play a pivotal role in fostering collaborative relationships within our community engagement initiatives, with a particular emphasis on leading the coordination of all Chicas STEM-related activities and projects, including the program's "Experiencia Ecológica" (Ecological Experience) initiative. This role involves working closely with diverse stakeholders to strengthen community ties, facilitate meaningful outdoor experiences for Latine youth and their families, promote environmental stewardship, and empower Latine youth in STEM fields. The Partnerships Coordinator reports to the Chicas Program Manager.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with local community groups, businesses, and organizations to develop and maintain partnerships that align with the goals and values of the program, with a specific focus on those providing STEM experiences and opportunities, including partners capable of facilitating and hosting trips that fit within the Experiencia Ecológica initiative
  • Lead the planning and implementation of outdoor field trips, designed to build confidence, introduce Latine youth to various outdoor activities, and familiarize them with natural spaces accessible to them
  • Lead the coordination and implementation of all Chicas Program STEM-related projects
  • Serve as a liaison between the organization and community partners, fostering effective communication and mutual understanding of both program and partner objectives
  • Develop and deliver engaging presentations to both internal teams and external stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A passionate commitment to the goals and mission of Adelante Mujeres and support for immigrant and BIPOC communities
  • BA Degree in Education, Social Work or similar field; or a comparable combination of education and experience
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships with a wide range of people, including excellent verbal and written communication
  • Bilingual-Bicultural Spanish/English
  • Possess CBR under Office of Childcare
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage, track and prioritize multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and communicate accurate information
  • Ability to work independently along with strong organization and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • A passion for the outdoors and a genuine enthusiasm for environmental education
  • Minimum of three years' experience working with Latine families
  • Proven experience in networking, presenting, leading meetings, and actively participating in collaborative environments

Additional Requirements

  • COVID-19 vaccine and 2 boosters required except for religious or medical accommodation

  • Possess current driver's license and auto insurance coverage
  • Ability to travel out of town to attend workshops or trainings

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • Salary range: $53K - $57K annually, depending on qualifications
  • Classification: Full time, exempt
  • Telework: up to 3 days a week
  • Benefits: health, vision, dental, short-term and long-term disability, 401K pension plan, life insurance, EAP, professional development opportunities, paid leave of absence, paid holidays (12.5 days annually), sick days (9 days annually), vacation per year (20 days years one through five, 25 days after five years), and sabbatical (1 month at 10 years of employment)
