Accounting Manager or Assistant Accounting Manager This position will be responsible for supporting and maintaining accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation and the support of budget and forecast activities. This position reports to Team Head of Business Management team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate all financial statements for various subsidiaries
- Support an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and support quarterly reviews and year-end audit
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payment transactions
- Ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all financial information including variance analysis and various non-routine reports
- Review vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and payroll related expenses and activities and posts journal entries as well as cost accounting (on percentage of completion basis)
- Provide the necessary analysis to explain budget and forecasting variances
- Perform corporate P/L, budget management and yearly financial forecasting activities from project-level and/or corporate-level
- Work with non-U.S. based parent company, subsidiaries, and other affiliated companies as investor or asset management company
- Support finance planning and implementation
- Monitor securities and banking transaction and corporate loan
- Work with Sr. Accounting Manager to prepare presentations to senior management
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Management as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual Korean / English, native or professional capabilities required to co-work with HQ
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
- 4+ years accounting experience with progressive responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including consolidation and cash flows, budgeting, forecasting, as well as technical knowledge of GAAP
- Hands-on experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and ledger management and financial closing
- Previous experience working in a multinational company, preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly
- Strong and self-motivated team player
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced proficiency in Excel required
