Job Description
We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our immigration team. You'll draft petitions, waivers, Naturalization, Business visas, U visa, Vawa, T-visas, asylum, TPS, DACA, removal defense paperwork with USCIS, US embassies and immigration courts. Compensation:$33,000-$45,000
Responsibilities:- Draft petitions, waivers, Naturalization, Business visas, U visa, Vawa, T-visas, asylum, TPS, DACA, removal defense paperwork with USCIS, US embassies and immigration courts
- Work with lawyers to prepare for trial by conducting research on legal articles, preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, filing motions, and assisting with client meetings
- Gather information about legal issues from the client in interviews
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
- Organize our case filing systems to ensure all documents are properly sorted and easy to locate, and other administrative duties as needed

Qualifications:- Candidates should possess high-level organizational skills and time-management skills
- 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Talented communicator and writer
- Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
- 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
- Have a strong understanding of the following forms and processes: I-130, I-485, N-400, I-765, I-131, I-526, I-589 consular processing of immigrant/nonimmigrant visas, and immigration court filings
- Understand what documentation is required to support various immigration applications, and have extensive experience organizing application packets in accordance with legal requirements
- Be familiar with concepts of immigration and nationality law, such as the requirements for non-immigrant and immigrant visas, admissibility, and deportation
- Have excellent writing skills, including a mastery of English spelling and grammar
- Have excellent communication and organizational skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
