This position is located at MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII / MCBH / MCAS / KBAY, KANEOHE BAY, HI - 9TH PUKA. Candidates selected for this position will serve as a REGULAR PART-TIME, GOLF COURSE BEVERAGE CART ATTENDANT NF2* for MCCS.

Major Duties
Reporting to the Club Manager or designee, primary duties include providing beverage and food cart service to golf course patrons and guests on and in areas nearest the golf course. Must follow rules of golf etiquette when approaching a golf group. Plans and requisitions supplies, equipment, and inventory in advance of work shift. Stocks, records inventory, and signs for cash drawer. Keeps supplies neatly displayed and stowed. Serves customers, collects money, makes change, and is responsible for own change fund. Prepares mandatory daily cash report. Operates cart through designated areas of the golf course, ensuring the vehicle stays on the cart path or on solid ground to prevent damage to the golf course. Observes safety requirements and regulations. Reconciles end of shift inventory and prepares for next day duty. Cleans cart daily, ensures fuel or power source is at 100%.
Secondary duties include keyholder responsibilities assisting and monitoring operation and control of the assigned food service activity/locations. Will provide backup coverage for food preparation, payment collections, serving, and cleaning. May be responsible for accountability of funds, completing daily reports, inventory, and performing key holder duties at remote food location. Prepares reports of significant occurrences during the shift. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer issues. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. May plan and schedule daily service menus for activities and events. Ensures compliance with fire, safety, food and work area sanitation and security regulations in accordance with Navy Medical and other regulations.
Provides meaningful connections through customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and sanitation standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
A minimum of six months of work experience that demonstrates experience in selling retail food items, food service, customer service, and cash handling. A valid driver’s license is required. Knowledge of golf is helpful. Incumbent is subject to drafts, noise, varying temperatures, and outside weather conditions. Daily work is primarily done outside where incumbent is subject to discomfort from long periods in the sun, and sometimes to chilly or rainy weather. Lifts and carries up to 25 lbs. independently.
