The Benefit Manager is responsible for managing the Benefit function at EIS and providing support and analytics for key areas of the Total Rewards Team. The Benefit Manager will perform professional, administrative, and technical work involved in the ownership of the Benefit function, including the creation of reports, analyzing data and supporting Human Resources processes, policies, and systems.
Responsibilities include:
Primary point of contact for employee benefit questions, communications, and benefit vendor management for employees in US, US - Puerto Rico and Canada
Manage Leave of Absence processes; partner with Leave Administrator Vendor, HR/Payroll, Supervisors and Employees for updates and "return to work"
Responsible for Benefit billing reconciliation and submission; ensuring timely submission of invoices to AP
Research and respond to Finance billing and funding reconciliation questions
Lead annual open enrollment events and maintain standardized processes to ensure completion of New Hire and M&A Benefit Enrollments
Building standard HR reports and dashboards used to analyze and communicate employee trends and metrics within the organization to EIS Leadership
Partnering with HR Team to build and maintain effective audit processes for compliance and data accuracy related to employee data in HRIS and Benefits
Assisting with New Hire Orientation and Benefit Presentations; conducted virtually
Interacting with employees, managers and/or vendors for HR services to provide support and assist in issue resolution related to Benefits
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in HR (or related field) and minimum of 2 years' experience in Benefits; or a minimum of 4 years' experience in Benefits with additional experience in at least one of the following areas: HRIS, Compensation, Payroll.
Intermediate knowledge of Benefit compliance, regulations and best practices; Basic knowledge of Federal and State HR/Labor laws, regulations, and best practices
Experience utilizing HRIS for employee data changes and reporting; ADP WFN highly preferred
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel; able to use to effectively audit data
Comfortable using, learning and leveraging software/technology to improve processes and communications
Ability to manage tasks and projects from concept to completion
Excellent analytical skills
Strong verbal and written skills; superior customer service
Comfortable presenting to all levels of the organization; ability to adapt message to needs of audience
Able to communicate and build positive relationships with employees at all levels (entry level to leadership)
Able to work in a team environment and fulfill objectives with minimum direct supervision
Able to effectively manage vendor relationships; and escalate resolution as needed
