PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for directing and planning day-to-day operations of group health and welfare benefit programs and retirement programs (health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, HSA and FSA plans, voluntary benefits, and 401(k) plans). Provide excellent customer service and quality benefit plans.
Investigate new benefit programs, improve existing programs, supervise and monitor benefit administration. Design employee benefit plans. Provide analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefit programs. Includes managing and directing subordinate staff, to identify goals and objectives, assist in prioritizing projects and conflict resolution.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Three to five years related benefit or employee benefit administration experience required.
- Excellent communication and organization skills are required.
- HRIS systems experience. Preferably UltiPro.
- Strong analytical skills and thorough knowledge of plan designs. Ability to understand, evaluate and make judgment on the proposals (RFP).
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Section 125, ACA, Social Security and DOL requirements.
- Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment.
- Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
- Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
- Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.
- English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
- PREFERRED: PHR or CEBS professional designation.
