Our Employee Benefits team is an energetic and fast‐paced group that is passionate about providing the best customer service to our clients. Thanks to the phenomenal growth that we are experiencing, we now have an opening for an Account Manager! The Employee Benefits Account Manager serves as the go‐to person for any questions or issues encountered by our group benefit clients and maintains client relations to ensure that they are getting the best service and benefits possible. The Account Manager is also the point person for onboarding new clients.
Your role in protecting families and businesses will include:
- Administration of benefit enrollments and changes in assigned accounts.
- Researching, responding, and following up on claim issues, billing issues, compliance questions, or other customer inquiries.
- Preparing or assisting with proposals/quotes for renewal and prospective accounts.
- Preparing spreadsheets of recommended plan designs and rates.
- Handling tasks related to the renewal process including day to day servicing needs.
- Onboard new clients with enrollment and carrier set up.
- Coordinating assembly and/or delivery of employee information packets.
- Maintaining up‐to‐date records and documentation in Employee Benefits electronic record keeping system.
- Staying up to date on industry, competition, carriers, compliance, and business changes.
- Assisting in department projects, data entry, audits, and other initiatives.
- Participating in meetings with clients and vendors.
Who you are:
- You have experience servicing clients, answering questions pertaining to their policies, solving issues, and recommending applicable coverage as needed.
- You have a current Tennessee Life and Health Insurance License, or you will obtain such within 60 days of hire.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- You can type a minimum of 40WPM.
- You can effectively interface with clients and vendors.
- You develop and maintain good relationships with co‐workers and managers, maintaining open lines of communication with others.
- You can handle confidential information with maximum discretion.
- You thrive in a fast‐paced environment.
- You are detail‐oriented, organized, efficient and proactive.
- You enjoy problem solving and can create solutions quickly.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- You are reliable, adaptable, and compassionate.

- Must be able to walk up and down stairs (there are no elevators in the 2‐story main office
- Building).
- Physical, consistent attendance during normal working hours within a standard 40‐hour workweek, as many of the job duties are time sensitive and most effectively and efficiently resolved only through required immediate communication; additional hours may be required.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
