INTRODUCTION: Coats Company is looking for an experienced Benefits Analyst that can lead change initiative for our Benefits and Compensation programs. We are currently going through an exciting divestiture from our parent company, Vontier, and are looking to bring some HR workstreams back in-house. This person would oversee all Health Benefit programs, Leave of Absence Management, and Commission/Bonus programs for the United States, with partial assistance for Canada and China.
This position reports to the HR Director and is a hybrid role. Applicant must be able to be on-site at our LaVergne, TN office 2-3 days a week.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Help Coats Company transition from current Vontier Benefits program to future benefits program as a stand-alone entity
Suggest and research creative benefits programs and plans that will help our associates and their families
Manage yearly Open Enrollment
Manage Company 401k account
Help set up systems to provide Benefits support and accessibility to employees
Manage all Leave of Absences for the organization, and help EHS Manager with Workers Compensation claims
Handle all paperwork, doctors office inquiries and associate questions in relation to all Coats LOAs
Review and assist in creation of formal Sales Commission documents and plans including helping management with metrics and pay split based on job duties
Review bonus plans and help make suggestions on improvements to tie to company metrics
Other duties as assigned
WHO YOU ARE:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a Business major preferred
- Minimum of 3 years working in Benefits administration, with proven experience sourcing in the benefit marketplace
- Experience in LOA Management required (STD, LTD, FMLA etc), with extensive knowledge of Federal and State LOA laws
- Experience with Workers Compensation preferred
- Experience with Compensation plans, including Sales, preferred
- Ability to keep up to date on all separate local, state and federal laws in regards to LOAs and Workers Compensation
- Comfortable working with doctors offices, insurance agencies and other external parties
- Global Benefits and Compensation experience preferred (preferably Canada and China)
- Must be able to handle confidential information at the highest level
- Ability to assess data and make recommendations
- Must have good interpersonal skills to work cross functionally across various departments and various employees (including remote)
- Must have above average organizational, time management and attention to detail skills
