HOUR FAMILY is seeking immediate hire for dedicated and passionate bilingual Behavioral Interventionists to join our growing team in Dallas County. MUST BE BI-LINGUAL IN SPANISH and ENGLISH.
BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONIST "BI" JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Behavioral Interventionist "BI" implements behavioral strategies and interventions developed by a licensed clinical professional. The BI will work one-on-one, face to face with clients on a weekly basis for one hour using positive reinforcement and play-based activities. On-going support from our licensed clinicians will provide the Behavioral Interventionist the opportunity to grow professionally while ensuring their skills match the needs of the client.
This position offers great flexibility for an individual seeking part-time work, as the Behavioral Interventionist can create their own schedule with their clients.
BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONIST RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement behavior interventions from a treatment plan written by a licensed clinical professional. BI will work with the IDD population to include clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other neurodevelopmental differences.
- Communicate, teach, and train interventions to client family members/caregivers or other support providers, as appropriate.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, that meets or exceeds Department of State Health Services.
- *Face-to-face or telephone contact with individuals, their family, or other services providers to consistently provide Behavioral services
- Participate in service planning team meetings, via teleconference or video conferencing or in person as required
- Maintain calendar to reflect scheduled /cancelled appointments and document all interactions/attempts with family/caregivers or other service providers
- Follow all HIPAA regulations related to confidentiality and ethical practices as it relates to clients
- Complete all required compliance trainings or show proof of current valid certification(s).
BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTIONIST MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 12 months mental health or social service experience with emphasis on direct clinical care
- Experience working with the IDD population including children and/or adults on the Autism Spectrum
- The ability to work with children and/or adults of varying ages
- *Reliable vehicle transportation
- Must be able to provide services either mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends dependent on client availability. Clients must be seen weekly.
- The ability to “think on your feet”, have mental flexibility, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding and experience working with ABA therapies is a PLUS
- MUST be BILINGUAL in ENGLISH and SPANISH
- *Must be willing to travel in Dallas County within a 30-mile radius
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Salary: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
