Responsibilities
The Behavioral Interventionist will provide individual and group therapy sessions to people living with HIV with a history of trauma and substance use disorder. The successful candidate will be knowledgeable in various treatment modalities (CBT DBT Strength-based Trauma Focused therapies) and be able to facilitate evidence-based interventions in a supportive and empathetic manner.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience working with clients who have a history of trauma substance use or mood disorders.
- Master's degree in social work counseling psychology or a related field.
- Eligible to be licensed as a State Mental Health Professional.
- Any of the following are acceptable: ASW - Associate Social Worker MFT - Marriage Family Therapist LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker LMFT - License Marriage Family Therapist LPCC - Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor CADAC - Certified Alcohol and Drug Addiction Consultant.
- Knowledge of various evidence-based practices (Seeking Safety SMART Recovery Harm Reduction) for treating trauma and substance use disorders.
- History of working with people living with HIV and other marginalized populations preferred
- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred
Pay Range
$35.13 - $50.94 /hour
