Description
Behavior therapists implement center, school, or community treatment programs for Adamant patients and their families using applied behavior analysis (ABA). Adamant behavior technicians are an integral part of the therapy team as their work directly contributes to patient and family success. Behavior technicians report to the Adamant program supervisors and clinical supervisors. In addition to frequent interactions as part of the therapy team, behavior technicians receive individualized mentorship from experienced behavior analysts to ensure the highest quality service. This is an hourly, non-exempt, part-time position.
Qualifications and Skill
- High School Degree or equivalent (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree or working towards completion of a Bachelor’s degree (Preferred)
- Experience working with children or specifically with children with disabilities (Preferred)
- Willing to work 10-40 hours per week (Required) unless you are applying for a substitute Behavior Technician position
- Your own vehicle with proof of auto insurance (Required)
- Must be Available on weekdays (Mon-Fri between 8am-8 pm; Saturdays 8:00am-5:00pm) (Required)
- Willing to work with children with special needs (Required)
- Eager, energetic, professional, hard-working, and passionate demeanor (Required)
- Willing to take frequent constructive feedback (required)
- Willing to work and become RBT-certified within 3 months of hire (Required)
- Willing to provide in person services across various settings, such as center, client home, community, and school (Required)
- Ability to provide negative TB test results.
- Ability to pass FBI & DOJ fingerprinting, health screenings, and provide/obtain immunizations
- Ability to pass driving record clearance
- Fluent in Armenian or Spanish (Preferred)

Responsibilities and Duties
Adamant Behavioral Services, Inc. behavior technicians will be trained to work with children or teens with special needs and their families/caregivers. Acquire valuable career skills, such as:
- Understanding Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and how to treat the challenging behaviors and skill deficits that are associated with the diagnosis
- Learn about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and its’ techniques
- Implement clients’ behavior intervention plans for challenging behaviors and lessons for skill deficits that may include communication, social skills, play skills, self-help skills, executive functions, and others
- Learn how to apply Natural Environment Training (NET) and Discrete Trial Training (DTT) across a variety of programs
- Collect and record ongoing data on client progress
- Graphing of program progress, as needed
- Attend mandatory staff trainings
- Assist supervisors in various work projects and material preparations
- Work with applications, iPads, computers, physical games, toys, and web-based variety of technologies
- Other duties may be assigned, as needed
