Position Description:
Explore a career opportunity in the field of ABA Therapy, which is providing direct 1:1 therapy that works on language, social and plays skills, daily livings skills, and reducing problematic behaviors. You will provide individualized ABA therapy, work with Board Certified Behavior Analysts and other ABC staff, train and support patients as they acquire and develop new skills, collect data on program goals via an electronic collection system, and receive in-depth as well as ongoing training with opportunities to grow into multiple departments within the company.
Job Requirements:
- Provide direct ABA Therapy to patients
- Previous experience in a related field preferred, but not required
- Completion of 40 hours of online training prior to employment to better prepare you for the position as a Behavior Therapist
- Successful completion of the competency assessment with a BCBA within 1 week of employment
- Schedule the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification exam within 2 weeks of employment
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential will be required within 10 weeks of employment
- Experience working with children with special needs/Autism is not required, but a plus
- Able to become Professional Crisis management (PCM) certified via the required training course
- Able to become First Aid/CPR certified
- Able to effectively operate a tablet and learn new electronic data collection software
- High School diploma or GED required
- Eager to continue learning and developing skills within Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to pass a full Indiana criminal background check
- Ability to perform other assigned duties/tasks
