Minimum Requirements:
- Some college coursework, associates or bachelors degree preferred
- Special needs experience preferred
- Childcare experience preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
Clinical:
- Provide direct ABA therapy to children with autism (direct implementation of skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by the supervisor)
- Keep children motivated to learn
- Collect accurate data and objectively report session progress notes
- Ability to work independently
- Follow all HIPAA ( Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines related to client privacy
Basic & Physical
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (clients, equipment, etc.)
- Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time
- Must be able to sit on the floor, in small chairs, or stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to push, pull, carry, reach, bend, twist, run, stoop, climb, etc. as needed
- Must be willing to manage challenging behaviors with support
- Must be able to remain conscious and alert at all times
