Verbal Beginnings is a leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider serving children diagnosed with autism. We provide extensive training to anyone interested in learning about ABA therapy and autism and have a passion for working with children!
Attributes and qualifications needed to be successful in this role:
- Patience, compassion, and the desire to help children with autism achieve their goals
- Genuine desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with others
- Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- High School Diploma required. Students pursuing a degree in Psychology, Special Education, Early Childhood Development, or related fields of study are encouraged to apply!
- Experience as a teacher, nanny, social worker, nurse, school or camp counselor, childcare, teacher’s aide, coach, child psychologist, special education, paraprofessional, daycare teacher, and other similar fields.

What does my day look like as a Behavior Technician (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT):
- ABA therapists work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills.
- The ABA therapist / Registered Behavior Technician collects and records data to monitor the progress of a treatment plan and works in collaboration with the clinical supervisor to update the treatment plan as necessary
