The Behavior Analyst will work under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor to conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and train team members to support the individuals we serve.
What separates us from others...our clinical team concentrates on creating individualized assessments and interventions tailored to the specific needs of each individual with the goal of increasing socially important behaviors in order to help that individual thrive in their community. They do not supervise our Behavior Technicians, but collaborate with and work side by side as a team to really focus on the training and support needed to be successful.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Work closely with the children and staff to observe, identify, analyze, and document a range of behavior problems. Derived from that analysis, develop and implement strategies to address identified problem areas
- Develop programs to increase skills and provided ABA therapy throughout the day
- Use your training and creativity to explore ways to handle challenging problems for our individuals to be successful in the home, at school, and in the community
- Create individualized treatment plans to help increase functional skills for the individuals served
- Train team members on the principles of behavior analysis and individual programming to promote client success
- Conduct trainings for caregivers to teach the skills necessary for their child’s success
- Collaborate with other team members to translate the respective treatment plan into measurable steps and benchmarks to evaluate and monitor
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- Enrolled in Master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis, OR currently enrolled in a graduate program in one of the mental health professional disciplines OR have a Master’s degree in a mental health field
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board preferred OR otherwise has documented fieldwork supervision working towards Board Certification.
- Has at least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience or training in examining or treating people with ASD or a related condition or equivalent documented coursework at the graduate level by an accredited university in ASD diagnostics, ASD developmental and behavioral treatment strategies, and typical child development or a combination of coursework or hours of experience
- Has a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral or child development science or related field, including, but not limited to mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, or occupational therapy
- Has at least 1,000 hours of supervised clinical experience or training in examining or treating people with ASD or a related condition or equivalent documented coursework at the graduate level by an accredited university in ASD diagnostics, ASD developmental and behavioral treatment strategies, and typical child development or a combination of coursework or hours of experience
- Has certification as a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board OR otherwise has documented fieldwork supervision working towards Board Certification.
Additional Requirements and Personal Skills:
- One year experience working with special populations in crisis intervention, staff training, and development
- Valid driver’s license, current registration, and insurance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
- A commitment to quality in everything you do.
- Skilled in written and oral communications and service development
- An ability to establish rapport easily and build positive relationships with individuals and coworkers alike
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of behavior principles, program development and monitoring techniques
