About The Bayou Grill:
Performance Objectives:
A server greets tables with a positive attitude, takes orders, answers questions about the menu and food, sells food and drinks, upsells, takes payment, communicates orders with the kitchen staff, seats customers, and helps with customer service and cleaning. Also, answers phones and takes to go orders when needed. The following is the responsibilities of a server:
- Take food and drink orders from customers with a positive attitude
- Greet customers, tell them your name, ask what brings them in & engage in conversation
- Knowledge of menu and have the ability to make suggestions
- Ensure guests are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems
- Ensure every customer has excellent service
- Collect payments from tables
- Must be able to remain a positive attitude under pressure
- Clean tables, roll silverware, help with side work as needed
- Must have strong communication skills, be a fast learner, and be able to work with several personality types
- Must be willing to learn and work with pos system

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED is recommended but not required. 1 or more years in the restaurant industry is also recommended but not required. We provide on the job training to anyone who is willing and able to learn.
