Aberdeen Hotels looking for High Energy, Dependable, and Customer Service oriented Bartender and Server
About the Role:
A Bartender/Server will be responsible for engaging our guests during their visit, receiving/serving orders and ensuring brand service standards are met to the highest quality. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Create and serve a range of beverages including classic cocktails, mixers, beer, wine and soft drinks etc.
- Receive orders and serve customer requests completely in a timely manner
- Take food orders and assist with deliveries as required
- Understand menu content, any menu changes, and promotional activities
- Keep your service area clean, tidy, and well-prepared
- Efficiently manage the proper settlement of all customer accounts
- Answer guest queries in a polite and helpful manner
- Ensure serving station is well-stocked at all times
- Cleaning, mopping, washing and sanitizing glassware/dishware/utensils

- Previous experience within a cocktail bar environment
- The ability to create classic cocktails

- Previous food hygiene experience,
- Electronic ordering systems experience
- Cash handling experience
- Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate

Job Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
- Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift
- Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately
- Identify belligerent customers, and work with management when needed to maintain a safe environment
- Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed
- Other duties as requested
