About us

1683 Bar is a small business in West Islip, NY. We are professional, agile and our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and stable working environment. We are raising the bar standards on restaurant, bartender and serving etiquette. We are going through a revamp, and need staff as we anticipate growing the business and the brand. We are heavily involved in the community, the schools, and the town itself, and would love to grow with our 1683 family.

P.S. We were just a part of a charity and fundraiser event, where we were on both News 12 & Pix 11 NY. Although this was a tragedy in our community, we plan on having events like this where we are there for the community, offer our support and fundraise for whatever we have going on in the community, town and school districts.

Shift pay currently is $40, plus your cash and credit card tips.

Saturday; Night Shift Bartender

Friday Late Lunch Start; Server

Saturday Late lunch Start; Server

On call basis Bartenders/Servers; All shifts.

We are looking for passionate Bartenders & Servers to join our team. The ideal candidate(s) for this position would have previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively. Although experience is not necessary, as we are willing to train. A successful candidate will have bar industry experience, a passion for mixology, and strong customer service skills. We offer base pay + tips. Our servers and bartenders get tipped out very well here.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and take orders.
• Mix drinks according to customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
• Ensure that all alcohol is stored and served according to legal requirements.
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Keep up with current drink recipes and trends.
