Job Summary
The Production Assistant aids with the candy making process ensuring proper quality and quantity of our chocolate bars and gummies being produced meet required inventory levels.
3 Shifts Available:
Morning 4:30 am - 12:00 pm
Afternoon 12:30 pm -8 pm
Evening 8:30 pm - 4:00 am

As a Kiva Production Assistant, you will...
- Ensure gummie mixture or chocolate is properly tempered for pouring.
- Pour gummie mixture or chocolate into molds by hand, pass molds to tables to shake, move molds to cooling rooms to set.
- Monitor temperature and humidity of cold room and adjust as necessary.
- Uphold quality standards of products. Ensure quality by taste testing and smelling samples.
- Assist with maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Make sure the equipment is properly calibrated and working correctly.
- Ensure that the production department is clean and sanitary every day. Equipment and tools are cleaned and sanitized. Floors are cleaned, scraped and mopped daily. All surfaces are cleaned and sanitized the start and end of every day.
What we're looking for...
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written.
- Ability to read, comprehend recipes and basic instructions such as: safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to perform basic math functions such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals is required.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions is required.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- All team members MUST provide and wear their own safety compliant (slip-resistant, toe-protection, fall protection) shoes to each shift
Physical Requirements
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to sit; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
