Barista/Cashier

HERST COFFEE ROASTERS IS HIRING A PART TIME POSITION: BARISTA

We are in search of baristas who are willing to learn or have experience in the coffee industry. You must have a passion for coffee, and sharp eye for quality. Every espresso we pour, drink we make, must maintain the quality we aim to achieve. Your responsibility is but not limited to taking orders, serving guests, cleaning, and maintaining the Herst standards.

Responsibilities / Expectations:

• Greeting customer and taking drink and pastry orders
• Providing a level of service beyond customer’s expectations
• Preparing drinks and baked goods to serve
• Being a team player; willingness to be flexible and multitask
• Upkeep cleanliness standards and keep organized workstations
• Being on time for all scheduled shifts and adhering to all company policies and guidelines.
• Tracking inventory stock levels and being proactive in preventing shortages.

Requirements:

• Must have weekend availability (SATURDAY & SUNDAY)
• Food Handlers Certification required by the state. Or obtain within 30 days of being hired.
• Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service
• Great customer service and positive work attitude.
• Willingness to learn about food and beverage preparation
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States and is 18 years of age or older.

Job Type: Part-time

Hourly: From $19 to $24 (with tips)
