Pour and Décor is a combined Coffee Shop and Retail Space. Employees will be cross trained on both the coffee bar and retail side. We will also have a small food menu that may require some additional training.
Basic Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages
- Take customer orders and accurately input them into the point-of-sale system
- Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the entire shop
- Follow recipes and guidelines for beverage and food preparation to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Assist with food preparation and ensure food safety standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and smooth workflow
-Work with the team to create product and window displays
Skills
- Previous experience in food service, retail, or a similar role is preferred
- Strong sales skills to upsell products and increase revenue
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transactions
- Familiarity with the coffee industry, including different types of coffee beans, brewing methods, and latte art is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
