The Banking Product Specialist is responsible for providing demonstrations of various DCI Banking applications to bank customers in a pressure-free manner with an informative focus. This includes providing product solution benefits and implementation information regarding specific bank customer questions and concerns.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstration Presentation
- Develops customized bank customer product presentations and demonstrations to support DCI's core data processing, digital banking, and ancillary solutions.
- Performs and coordinates all aspects of activities required to guarantee bank satisfaction during the presentation of DCI's core data processing, digital banking, and ancillary solutions.
- Coordinates logistics planning for each bank demonstration and maintains demonstration computers and equipment.
- Schedules product demonstrations and communicates with bank contacts in advance of demonstration visit.
- Coordinates banks' and demonstration itineraries with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Services staff.
- Plans and communicates comprehensive and thorough demonstration agendas and maintains adherence to the agenda during the demo.
- Provides personalized welcome incidentals and available informational marketing literature to demonstration attendees.
- Participates in needs analysis on pending bank demonstration visits to determine pertinent bank information, as well as specific bank needs and requests in the core processing system.
- Develops presentation techniques with information obtained through needs analysis to identify product solution/benefit areas that will most closely meet banks needs and requirements and to highlight and promote DCI's core processing system features most relevant to bank needs.
- Communicates appropriate system development requirement information to the appropriate Sales and Programming staff.
- Assists Customer Services Representatives, Business Analysts and other departments with determining and problem-solving system demonstration issues
- Assists bank contacts, sales and marketing, and systems development staff with proper core processing identification, selection, and application.
- Collaborates with Sales staff in planning strategy for complex client demonstrations.
Customer Support
- Maintains and strives to improve bank customer knowledge and understanding of DCI software applications.
- Researches and resolves bank customer questions and concerns.
- Assists in monitoring DCI application performance and communicates any problems and concerns to the Programming Department.
- Provides input and makes suggestions for User Documentation.
Other
- Assists in the Sales RFP process by compiling accurate responses from consultants and/or prospective bank.
- Provides back-up support to Customer Services Reps for taking calls and performing functions and duties in the Customer Services Department.
- Ensures that personal work area and other shared Customer Services work areas are maintained in a neat and organized manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of two years banking-related software experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Banking or related, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with related bank product demonstrations/presentations
- Experience in a system support role with database administrative responsibilities
- Must possess general knowledge of all areas of the banking industry, including bank client server products, demand deposit accounting, loan systems and administration, and related financial data processing.
- Knowledge and understanding of bank compliance regulations that relate to DCI applications.
- Advanced knowledge of financial computing applications and general PC operations.
- Thorough understanding of DCI operations.
- Excellent presentation and delivery skills.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, in person and through use of telephone.
- Effective planning, coordination, time management, and organization skills.
- Effective and appropriate face-to-face and verbal communication skills, as well as appropriate conduct of interpersonal relations.
- Effective communication skills in writing and speaking clearly and concisely.
- Advanced PC operation skills, word-processing and spreadsheet software proficiency, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office, and Windows applications required.
- Possesses sound analytical problem determination and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation and written communication skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Normal office environment requirements. (Can work remotely).
- Ability to lift and carry demonstration booth equipment weighing approximately 75 lbs.
- Frequent periods of driving.
- Travel to bank sites up to 75%.
