About the Role:
Mollie Stone’s Markets is looking for a Part-Time Deli/Bakery Clerk at our _______location. The perfect candidate will be customer service driven and be flexible working on various tasks from day to day. This person will have a love of cheese, extensive product knowledge, and always give exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions:
- Assist customers at the deli/bakery counter which may include making sandwiches and slicing meat.
- Properly cut, wrap, and scale deli items.
- Stock and display deli products.
- Operates slicer, wrapping and cooking equipment; assists in maintaining all equipment in safe working condition.
- Must be able to handle food in compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
- Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise, check products for quality, count and condition.
- Keep ingredients and merchandise rotated in accordance with company policy.
- Take inventory and stock products on shelf areas.
- Wrap, package and price product accurately.
- Answer phones and take special orders.
- Bake as needed and keep all display racks stocked.
- Greet all customers and provide exceptional customer service.
- Follow procedures and guidelines.
- Local candidates only.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Willingness to work in both deli and bakery departments depending on need.
- Ability to give exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including morning, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
- Passion for baking.
- Previous bakery experience preferred.
- Serve Safe certified is a plus!
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to regularly lift at least 50 lbs.
- Standing: Up to 8 hours per day.
- Walking: Up to 8 hours per day.
- Reaching: Up to 4 hours per day.
- Please be aware that you may be required to wear Covid-19 related PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as mandated by Company Policy.
Compensation:
Pay Range: $18.50 – 19.50
