PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Here at Carlo’s Bakery we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager to join the Famiglia. As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire logistics process, including order fulfillment, transportation management, material
handling, and shipping/receiving. You will play a critical role in ensuring the
efficient and timely movement of goods and materials throughout our organization.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Cultivate carrier strategies, including carrier selection, on-boarding, negotiation, and performance management
· Coordinate and manage all inbound and outbound movement of product from production facilities 3PL (third party logistics) warehouses, manufacturers, storefront locations,
and distributors
· Communicate and manage international logistics movement via ocean transport including customs documentation to ensure delivery to port in a timely manner
· Manage custom documents between production facility and international distributors to
ensure smooth transport through international borders without affecting the integrity of the product and timely delivery
· Work closely with our freight brokers and carrier partners to ensure timely and accurate shipments. Generate metrics to access logistics and fulfillment performance including
but not limited to on time delivery, carrier serviceability, freight cost and
route management
· Development of request for proposals across the various modes of transportation, including but not limited to FTL, LTL, Ocean import, Ground Export and across multiple temperature requirements (Frozen, Refrigerated and ambient)
· Communicate with Accounting, Operations, 3PL warehouses, customers, and sales on delivery status and estimated time of arrivals
· Work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure item Lot Coding is accurate on all item as based on the annual Julian Date
· Monitor two years of documents to ensure accurate SQF traceability and audits
· Oversee EDI communications and advance ship notice to ensure on item release of purchase orders via 3PL warehouse
· 3PL warehouse inventory reporting to cross reference shipping, inventory and receiving accuracy
· Manage consignment shipments and documentation to ensure accuracy of all order counts, lot codes and weights
· Keep daily update of local cake deliveries and purchase orders for local stores
while managing 2 drivers.
· Ensuring all pickup and delivery appointments have been confirmed and scheduled
· Manage the logistics administrator and resolving EDI communication issues with True Commerce, shipping and inventory issues with Dawn Foods and Consignment issues
with DOT foods
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Microsoft Office: 5 years (Preferred)
· 3 years experience in logistics administrative work
· 3 years management/supervision experience
· Attention to detail
· Organization skills
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent time management
