COMPANY HISTORY
In 1991, Joanne Currie and her husband Ross purchased Splash Café in Pismo Beach, CA. Over the next 30 years they became well known for winning the 1st place award for their Clam Chowder at the annual Clam Festival. The cafes now serve more than 40,000 gallons of chowder a year, and they have been featured in several national and international publications and TV shows.
DUTIES
- Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes
- Make dough for bread bowls, bread of the day, croissant & danish
- Make back up muffin batters & pastry fillings
- Operate baking equipment such as over, mixers, and dough sheeters
- Monitor baking process to ensure products are baked to perfection
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment
- Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards
- Communicate any inventory or facility/equipment issues to the Operations Manager
- Maintain high food safety and sanitation standards
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience working a bakery or food production environment is preferred but not required
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail to ensure quality products are produced
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy trays or ingredients
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds up and down stairs
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Available to work weekends as needed
- Proof and documentation of being able to work in the U.S.

GENERAL
- Work location: 1491 Monterey St, San Luis Obispo (Please note that the bakery facility will be moving locations to Grover Beach in the next 2-3 months)
- Part-time variable employment available. Hours depend on production needs.
- Flexible availability with morning availability is a MUST
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
