SalaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Assistant to the Executive Pastry Chef. In this role, you will work closely with our Executive Pastry Chef to assist in all aspects of pastry production and management. From preparing and baking a variety of pastries to managing inventory and ensuring quality control, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards that Renaud's is known for.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in planning and executing daily production schedules
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, including cakes, croissants, tarts, and specialty desserts
- Ensure consistency and quality in all pastry products produced
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Train and supervise pastry team members
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Contribute to menu development and innovation
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of pastry techniques and ingredients
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
