Baghouse Attendant

Buck Company LLC. is looking for a Baghouse Attendant to join its team in Quarryville, PA. The Baghouse Attendant is responsible for transferring baghouse dust from the dust collection silo to the appropriate waste disposal site and maintain housekeeping of the baghouse areas. Attendant must follow guidelines that meet our environmental and safety standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Checks dust silo level to keep the silo as empty as possible
• Contacts shift maintenance for assistance when the dust silo level is at or near the high level and any of the areas under the baghouse require immediate attention
• Keep daily and monthly records of disposal and baghouse maintenance inspections
• Loads dust per requirements of the Dust Car Loading Requirements sheet
• Maintains and reviews reports for any pass down information and addresses as necessary
• Reports dust leaks or equipment issues to shift maintenance and cleans up after any repair is made

Requirements:

• Must be able to efficiently work within a team-based environment
• Ability to comprehend instructions and accept coaching and mentoring
• Ability to safely and successfully perform job functions consistent with Buck Company safety policy
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs. during a shift
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all team members
