Baggage Handler/Cleaner

Burlington Trailways is looking for a full-time Baggage Handler/Bus Cleaner. Come join our team!

Schedule: Saturday- Wednesday, 7pm to 3am.

Starting pay is $16.00/hour plus$1.00/hour increase with CDL Class B with passenger and air brake endorsements.

*Don’t have CDL?? We’ll pay you to obtain one! Must obtain Commercial Learners Permit within 90 days of employment.*

Essential Functions

• Transfer luggage, trunks, and packages to and from loading areas, vehicles, or transportation terminals, by hand or using baggage carts.
• Receive and mark baggage by completing and attaching baggage tags, if needed.
• Keep depot clean with regular inspections of all areas inside and outside the depot. To including, sweeping, mopping, emptying trash cans, cleaning restrooms, etc.
• Shovel snow, ice, and apply ice melting agents where staff or passengers may have foot traffic, as needed.
• Greet customers and assist with information as to facilities and transfer points.
• Prepare motor coaches for use by fueling, checking, and filling fluids and dumping and filling toilets on motorcoaches regularly.

Position Qualifications

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Valid Drivers License with good driving record for past 36 months.
• CDL Class B with passenger and air brake endorsement, preferred. Or ability to obtain with company provided training within 90 days if hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical certificate.
