Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in the Back Office with patient care and medical procedures.
- Perform vital signs measurements such as blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature and chart accordingly.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing their needs and concerns.
- Support medical administrative tasks including maintaining patient records and returning patient messages.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers.
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist with positioning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
-Graduation from a Medical Assistant program.
- Previous experience in an OB/GYN office is a must.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems. Previous experience with ATHENA a plus as that is the system we use.
-Bilingual with English/Spanish desired but not required.
-We are a small office and drama will not be tolerated. We need a good team player who gets along well with others.
-Since we are a small office, excellent attendance is required.
