HII Mission Technologies currently has an opening for an Azure Engineer to join the team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing technical direction to the engineering team regarding architectural and design considerations for new cloud environments. HII Mission Technologies develops integrated solutions that enable today’s connected, all-domain force. Capabilities include C5ISR systems and operations; the application of AI and machine learning to battlefield decisions; defensive and offensive cyberspace strategies and EW; unmanned autonomous systems; LVC solutions; fleet modernization; and critical nuclear operations.
Responsibilities: I want to and can do that!
- Provide technical direction to the engineering team regarding architectural and design considerations for new cloud environments
- Design, document, and deploy cloud solutions
- Implement security standards within the cloud infrastructure
- Monitor systems and report issues
- Mentor colleagues on technologies and processes related to the Azure GCCH platform.
- Participate in documenting and accreditation of the cloud environment according to applicable DoD standards
- Provide off-hours remediations as necessary
What you must have!
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- Strong grasp of automation in an Azure/Entra cloud environment. Familiarity with Express Routes and Virtual WAN. Proficient in AVD deployments and troubleshooting.
- Microsoft Certified – AZ-104 or higher
Preferred Requirements
- Azure Certifications
- Azure GCCH experience
- Experience supporting compliance requirements (DFARS, SOX, CMMC, etc.)
- Experience with various Linux and Windows distributions
- Experience debugging performance and technical issues
