Reporting to the Dev/Ops Lead, Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the configuration, deployment, and related management of all Azure resources and business applications supporting application development and deployment. Using your expert knowledge and experience, you'll provide solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.
We'll look to you to respond quickly and accurately to our business-driven changing requirements to develop and secure the SaaS offerings. You will oversee and maintain all security and compliance standards and provide technical solutions to a wide range of issues where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Requirements

• Design, plan, and integrate cloud computing systems, using knowledge and skills of advanced cloud computing.
• Manage, support, and deploy Windows Virtual Machines in Azure IaaS environments.
• Perform day-to-day activities required to manage cloud services and utilize a broad set of tools to manage and administrate cloud infrastructure, including resolving incident and problem tickets.
• Provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with external development teams to understand and provide feedback for optimal cloud workload solution architecture within the agency Azure environment.
• Create and update cloud environment configurations to establish and support application workloads, including configuration of Subscriptions, Resource Groups, VNets, Subnets, load balancers, App Services, Azure Batch, Virtual Machines, resource tagging, billing, policy implementation, and security controls.
• Design and build out automation platforms utilizing Infrastructure as Code methodologies to provision using ARM, Azure Bicep, or similar.
• Support and complete requests for operational support, including communicating the level of effort and status to the cloud leadership team.

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Azure experience.
• Minimum 10 years of IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience working in environments with various Azure-based PaaS & SaaS services (Data Lake, Azure AD, SQL DW, Machine Learning, Data Factory, etc.).
• Azure cost optimization.
• Windows and Linux administration experience.
• Knowledge in cloud security (SOC, PCI, NIST).
• High degree of networking knowledge (protocols, virtual networks, subnets, firewalls).

Desirable:

• Experience with Cloud databases - Snowflake, Azure SQL DW, AWS Redshift or
• Kubernetes
• CI/CD principals and tools (Team City, Octopus, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Infrastructure as Code and related tools (Azure Bicep, ARM templates).
• Microsoft Azure Administrator certification
• System administration or Equivalent IT certifications in or other network-related fields a
