TheAVP Learning Experience Designer will serve as a bridge between the technical team and the learning team. The AVP will create an upskilling strategy that increases the tech fluency and tech skills across the IT organization. The AVP will translate complex technical topics into easy to digest and comprehendible Learning Experiences that include, but are not limited to, self-paced microlearning courses, learning dojos, role-based learning programs. In addition, through collaboration with subject matter experts, effectively develop and deliver technical training courses aligned to GMF's tech stack.

Responsibilities

About the Role:

  • Develop immersive Learning Experiences, with a particular focus on case-based and learning dojo models
  • Translate tech transformation roadmaps and external tech trends into learning objectives
  • Partner with subject matter experts across the IT organization to understand talent needs
  • Develop curriculum and engagement plans to support the adoption of product delivery lifecycle and software delivery lifecycle across the organization
  • Partner with Tech enablement teams to increase adoption and upskill employees on new tech tools and platforms
  • Deliver work and lead learning development teams, utilizing Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or Scaled Agile)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures

Reporting Relationship

  • Reports to: VP - IT Technical Learning and Readiness
Qualifications

What makes you a dream candidate?

  • Fluent in at least one of our core programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python)
  • Prior experience developing learning programs aligned to modern tech stacks (Cloud, SDLC, APIs/Microservices, etc.)
  • Understanding of, and ability to apply adult learning theory to learning strategies
  • Past experience working or leading an Agile pod, utilizing a customer-driven mindset
  • Strong communication and influence skills
  • Ability to organize, move, select, synthesize, summarize and edit information to make it effective
  • Strong analytic and problem solving skills
  • Strong time management skills

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsible work expeience
  • 3-5 years managemnet or leadership experience
