Job Description:
- The Electrical Test Engineer will be responsible for performing tests, writing reports, and building prototype cables and assemblies.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Perform tests on electrical components and systems.
- Write reports on test results.
- Build, prototype, bring up of systems and assemblies.
- Build prototype cables and assemblies.
- Maintain test systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems.
- Maintain test equipment.
- Stay up to date on new technologies.
- Travel to test labs and operational sites for bring-up, teardown and configuration of systems.
- 3+ years in: Electrical Engineering Principles - Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles in testing.
- 3+ years in: Test Equipment Proficiency - Experience with test equipment including power supplies, oscilloscope, function generators.
- 3+ years in: Soldering - Experience with soldering techniques to build and rework equipment. Fix and troubleshoot of components.
- 3+ years in: Aviation Grade Electronics - Experience with Aviation Grade assembly and design. Provide design input on best practices and perform tasks with appropriate workmanship.
- 1+ years in: Cable Assembly Build, Test, and Inspection - Experience with creating cable assemblies, testing existing cables and inspecting incoming cable assemblies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
