Summary
- This role is a hands-on technical position, responsible for Operations of Audio/Visual and IT systems.
- Configure and operate state-of-the-art Audio/Visual systems integrated with audio/video conferencing, projection, audio, video recording, playback, and remote-control devices.
- Collaborate with other technology and operational teams to ensure smooth operation and high technology uptime.
- Participate in Audio/Visual projects for new developments and retrofits.
- Provide expert guidance to Audio/Visual designs and configurations received from other parties.
- Advanced ability to troubleshoot Audio/Visual systems.
- Ability to support conference room technologies.
- Set up and support Live Events and Live Streaming.
- Ability to conduct basic Telecommunication and Networking Support/Troubleshooting.
- Ability to support endpoint technologies such as Windows & MacOS computers, Point-of-Sale devices, Printers, Scanners, etc.
- Ability to implement and operate monitoring of A/V & IT infrastructure systems.
- Maintain ongoing training and certification in Audio/Visual technologies e.g., Crestron.
- Directly interface with external guests, internal departments, senior management, and C-level executives.
Communication Skills
- Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic technology troubleshooting skills
- Knowledgeable in the following:
- Audio/Visual technologies, Video Conferencing (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
- Audio Conferencing, Digital Signage, AV over IP (Crestron, Extron, Netgear, etc.)
- BrightSign, QSC Q-SYS, Projection (Barco, Client, etc.)
- Audio (Shure, Dante, etc.)
- Lighting (Lutron)
- IP Telephony, LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi networking
- Endpoint support of PC, MacOS and peripherals
- An ideal candidate would also have one or more of the following qualifications, or equivalent skills:
- Audio/Visual Certification(s) e.g., AVIXA CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I, Crestron programming and certification,
- CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+ certification
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university in Information Systems or Computer Science.
- 3 - 5 years of hands-on and supervisory experience in Audio/Visual and networking technologies.
